Welcome

Since 1997, Jim has run CEO Communications, a Houston-based strategic communications firm that delivers a broad range of services to Fortune 500 companies and senior elected officials. Today, Jim also serves as speechwriter for President George Bush, the father, collaborating directly with the President to draft hundreds of foreign and domestic speeches. He frequently represents President and Mrs. Bush as their liaison with the news media.

Previously, Jim served as the Deputy Press Secretary for the Governor Bush Committee, where he coordinated and implemented media strategy as well as managed media site and travel logistics for George W. Bush’s re-election campaign for Governor of Texas in 1998.

Simon & Schuster published Jim’s first book, Heartbeat: George Bush in His Own Words in 2001, and Jim recently finished assisting David Kearns, the widely admired former Chairman and CEO of Xerox Corporation, with his personal memoirs. Jim’s first documentary, “Hope and Remembrance: The 50th Anniversary of the Korean War Ceasefire,” was aired in Seoul in July 2003 at the official Korean Government ceremonies marking that milestone.

Jim graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. His studies at Maryland included an assignment with the Capital News Service in Washington D. C., where he focused on the Maryland congressional delegation and the federal legislation impacting the State of Maryland.

Hope and Remembrance
